Chris holds a degree in mechanical engineering and initially carved his career in South Africa’s aerospace and mining sectors. His growing interest in digital technology led him to switching fields, transitioning to software engineering.

In 2004, he relocated his family to Australia, where he took on roles as a software engineer, product manager and later, CTO at e5 workflow. Under his leadership, e5 workflow became a dominant force, adopted by over 70% of Australia’s private health insurance providers.

The global government lockdowns during the early 2020’s together with the inflation induced economic hardships of family and friends in Africa profoundly impacted Chris. These experiences accelerated his journey down the Bitcoin rabbit hole, a hole from which he has not emerged.

Chris now holds a conviction that Bitcoin is the most significant technological discovery of our shared human history, ushering in a new renaissance built on cooperation and peaceful coexistence through its implicit incentives derived from its corruption and censorship resistant properties.
A fierce promotor of sovereignty via self-custody, Chris resigned from his role as CTO in order to devote himself to the mission of Bitcoin.
