With a wealth of experience spanning over a decade as an Associate Professor at McMaster University and the University of North Florida, Emma is an advocate, educator, and author who is now applying her academic expertise to support Bitcoin education.
Emma holds a Doctorate in Community Health (DrPH) from East Tennessee State University and a Master’s (MPH) in Health Education and Behavioral Science from Emory University. Dr. Apatu is a firm believer in the power of Bitcoin to usher in a new era of individual and community empowerment in today’s digital age.
Most recently her writing, 'Bitcoin & Public Health: Addressing the Debt-Money Crises,' has been published in Bitcoin Magazine. She is also founder of Dream Grad Academy, a new educational start-up that provides Bitcoin related education services to both individuals and organizations.
In addition, Emma is part of the Education and Public Engagement Committee of the Bitcoin Coalition of Canada. Also, she lends her expertise as an advisor to the non-profit organization, Bitcoin is Better.
